Q&A Series: DWI Driver’s License
I got a DWI – will I be able to drive?
A driving while impaired (DWI) incident with a chemical test failure or refusal will incur a revocation or cancellation of driving privileges. The length of any driver’s license withdrawal period depends on a number of factors, including the result of an alcohol test and the existence of any prior DWI conviction or revocations. In some instances, drivers may obtain a work permit or enroll in the ignition interlock program during the license revocation period.
